Herbert H. Gottlieb, currently on the faculty of City College of New York, has taught at the high school, college and university levels. He is well known for his long service as the apparatus editor for The Physics Teacher magazine, the teaching journal of the American association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), and is active in both the AAPT and the national Association of Science Teachers. He has won over 30 local and national awards for work with students as well as for his professional work, including the prestigious Distinguished Service Citation of the AAPT.
